COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Commercial Photography Process
Every commercial shoot is built around a specific brand, product, creative requirement and production scope. No two are priced the same way, so the process begins with a proper conversation about the project and a quotation written for it.
Project inquiry
You share the brand and product, what the images are for, roughly how many you need, any visual references, and your timing. Enough to understand the job - not a form to fill in.
Creative and production scope
We agree the shot list, creative direction, location, the products involved, and whether the shoot needs talent, styling, props or specialist equipment. Intended usage is settled here too, because it affects the licence.
Detailed quotation
Production scope drives cost in advertising photography, so you receive a written quote for your project rather than a package price. It sets out the deliverables, the schedule, the licence and anything quoted separately.
Pre-production
Once the quote is approved, the shoot is planned in detail: schedule, logistics, access, and final confirmation of the approved creative direction.
The shoot
Product photography produced on location, lit and shot with the client or an authorised representative present. Work is reviewed tethered as it is made, so key decisions are approved on set rather than afterwards.
Post-production
Selection, high-end retouching and finishing to the approved direction, within the revision scope agreed in the quote.
Delivery
Final approved images delivered in the agreed formats, licensed for the usage confirmed in the quote.
